Welcome to Qualicum  Rottweilers       We are John and Susan Peyton and reside in Qualicum  on beautiful Vancouver  Island  off  the  west  coast of Canada.       Rottweilers have been part of our lives since 1982. We admire and  enjoy this breed for their impressive style,intelligence, strong willing tempermants along with their love of life and the people they share it with.       The Rottweiler is a strong and powerful  dog of great perception and character, creating a breed of great versatility. The Rottweiler is a working breed. Currently you will find Rottweilers working in many important tasks fulfilling many needed functions in society.The jobs  have a  diverse range including police dog, search and rescue, aid dogs for people with disablities,herding, carting ,Schutzund, therapy work and helping childeren to learn read. Truly a dog of distinction and many talents.     We believe the Rottweiler and our dogs should represent the best of the breed not just in conformation but working tempermant along with  soundness of mind and body. We challenge our dogs and selves by training in Schutzund, CKC/AKC obedience shows as well as showing in German Style Seiger shows and AKC/CKC conformation.      We have a great time travelling and working with our dogs  living on  our 20 wooded acres, playing ball, splashing in the pond and  and enjoying the best of life.   We believe Rottweilers thrive in a family that nutures and trains their dog to succeed. We encourage all owners to learn the joy of having a well trained social companion in their everyday life.       Rottweilers are under pressure from various level of goverments to restrict ownership of this magnificent breed so it is imperative that  all Rottweiler owners participate in being a good ambassador of the breed by correct training and socialization.            We have enjoyed many successes with our  dogs in show and work but truly the best part of them is the life we share with  them .  Please enjoy the pictures and stories of  our dogs... we are proud of what they do and have accomplished. We are members of ARC, USRC,CKC and our local all breed Nanaimo Kennel Club .
